Frequently Asked Questions

Please see our terms page for most details. If you have any questions not covered please do not hesitate to email us with your questions.

No sorry, we do not make tanks for every bike. Most of our tanks are designed for bike’s from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s pre fuel injection and of the road race or café racer style (not trials/scrambler). We have patterns for various models of Norton, Ducati, Honda, Rickman and Yamaha, and can often adapt an existing pattern to fit another frame.

No. We only make aluminium petrol tanks using a commercial grade aluminium 1.5mm thick.

If we have patterns for the model that you want, and a frame on which to mount the tank and establish the fixing points, then we do not have to have your bike. For a special request for something we do not do as standard, we would need to negotiate a price, timescale and the use of your bike, or existing tank and/or frame. (Please note that we only manage to take on about 4 special jobs per year due to the impact on our leadtimes.)

To place an order please contact us by email TABFuelTanks@Yahoo.co.uk, or by phone +44 01974 821469. We are usually around to take phone calls between 08:30-13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 British time. Email is better as some of our processes are quite noisy and we cannot always hear the phone.

We accept most payment methods – cheque, bank transfer, PayPal, or Visa/Mastercard via PayPal. We do not ask for payment until we have completed your order. We will then contact you for payment prior to shipping.

If you are in the UK then YES.  TAB II Classics is VAT registered. If you are purchasing from within the UK  we have to charge VAT on your purchase – you will see the price including VAT on our website. If you purchase from outside the UK we do not charge you VAT but you are responsible for your own customs and excise duties.

Since the Brexit Trade Agreement no VAT will be charged to EU customers, however you may be responsible for VAT in your own country.

VAT Registration Number: GB 195 7146 72.

EORI number: GB195714672000

For customers outside of the EU then yes. You are responsible for payments to your own Customs authorities for any import duties or handling charges that they may impose. We cannot assist in any way with these statutory charges in your country. We have to complete a Customs Declaration when we ship your goods and this will be to the true value of the invoice and the amount that you pay us.

For customers in the EU, the Brexit Trade Agreement means that no import duties should be charged on UK-made products. Our tanks and seats are made in the UK.

EORI number: GB195714672000

No – if you order from Europe, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand (or any other country from outside the UK) you do not pay VAT. Please check out our prices excluding UK VAT at 20%. We do however have to prove that we have shipped to your destination country in order to withhold the VAT. You are responsible for your own import and customs duties as applied in your own Country.

As a result of the Brexit Trade Agreement, customers within the EU may be liable to pay their own country’s VAT or equivalent before the couriers will release the goods. There may also be a small handling fee.

Obviously shipping varies according to the weight and size of your order so we can only give a guide here.

Please contact us for a more accurate price as these prices are a guideline only and can vary depending on how many items in the box, and the particular tank you have ordered.

As a rule, we do not take on other people’s tank repairs but we will try to help where possible.
