The Norton Commando has become the iconic Cafe Racer bike, and the 5 Gallon Manx is the quintessential Cafe Racer tank, however some folk feel that the 5 Gallon Manx is a little on the large side, so we have developed what we call our “Mini Manx”. It is effectively a 5 Gallon Manx with one and a half inches cut off the bottom, to give it the traditional Manx look without the bulk.
We can offer this tank with or without indents for clip-on handlebars.
We have fabricated this base to be as bolt-on as possible for the Norton Commando. The base has 2 M8 threaded inserts in the front that line up with the “L” brackets on the frame and at the rear we weld on “buttons” for use with rubber bands.
The price includes a full polish to a mirror finish, 2 tap bosses fitted, and a Monza cap of your choice (2″ or 2.5″).
All our fuel tanks are handmade to order from aluminium sheet using time honoured techniques. This means that no two tanks we make are actually the same, making each and every TAB tank unique.
