Velocette Thruxton Fuel Tank

This is our take on the Iconic Velocette “Thruxton” tank from the mid to late 60’s.

The Thruxton has the “cutout” for the carb as seen in the pictures.

As you can see from the pictures this example does not have the mounting “ears” at the front, this is because the customer for this particular tank opted not to have them fitted and instead is using a different mounting method. We have welded in 2 M8 threaded inserts into the tank at the front for use with threaded bobbins instead.

At the back we weld on 2 small “buttons” for use with rubber bands.

We can if you prefer have the “ears” added – just email us for more information.

The price includes a 2 1/2″ Monza cap fitted and 2 1/4BSP tap bosses.

All our fuel tanks are handmade to order from aluminium sheet using time honoured techniques. This means that no two tanks we make are actually the same, making each and every TAB tank unique.
